Should be done the copy edit of Soiled Undies & Other Gorgon Encounters by next week.

What then?

Then things get scary. Book layout. I need to figure out book layout.

Book agents. Yeah, I should really give it a try. Not that I enjoy rejection. Who does? Not expecting anything but rejection. I’m pretty much resigned to the reality that self publishing is the only way this book sees print. But giving up before trying doesn’t make much sense either.

While sending out queries and receiving rejections, I will continue the self publishing process as originally planned.

I have no deep love for traditional publishing, but I also don’t enjoy the back end work of self publishing. So, if someone was to offer me money to do that portion for me, I guess it makes sense. It frees me up to spend more time writing. Also, I think having the feedback of a professional editor would go a long way toward improving my writing (though I was underwhelmed with the first two I hired).

I’m up to 37 subscribers. Last week’s Love & Dinosaurs performed quite well. Maybe this week I’ll break 40.

And next week I’m going to do something that I hadn’t planned to.
